Cruise Availability

All rates are per person, on a share basis in US dollars.  Same gender willing to share requests are available in Deluxe cabins, and in Master cabins if no Deluxe cabin is available.  To keep a cabin private, please add an additional 65% single supplement for a Deluxe cabin and for a Master cabin 85% November-June and 100% July-October.

Rates include: Cabin accommodation, all meals, snacks, beverages, all beverages including an open bar policy (beer, wine, spirits and liquors), one 80 cu ft/12 liter tank, weights, weight belt, up to 4 dives per day on 5.5 days for 7-night cruises, 3 land excursions, service of Dive Guides 8:1, transfers from and to San Cristobal airport and the dock from flights arriving before 1:00pm (13:00), all other Galapagos Sky services and amenities.

Rates do not include: Trip Interruption or Cancellation Insurance, Dive Accident Insurance (required), International airfare to Ecuador, Domestic Airfare to the Galapagos Islands, Galapagos National Park entrance fee, Transit card, hyperbaric chamber fee, gratuities to guides and crew.

Galapagos Park Tax:

The entrance fee to the National Park is $200 for most nationalities. Visitors from the Andean Community and Mercosur nations over the age of 12 pay $50, and children pay $25. Ecuadorian nationals over the age of 12 pay $6, and children pay $3. This not included in the cruise rate.

Transit Control Card:

A TCT card or tarjeta de control de transito is $20 per person and is required by INGALA for all visitors to Galapagos to control migration to the Islands.

As a wonderful service, we can arrange our guest’s  domestic flights from mainland Ecuador to San Cristobal. For guests who fly to San Cristobal on their departure day on Avianca flight 1636, we will prearrange your Park and TCT fees. **If guests arrive on another day or flight, we are not able to assist with TCT and Park fees. We will remove the fees from the invoice and will send instructions on how to meet the crew/boat on the day of embarkation. All divers and guests must be on board by 12:30pm (12:30) on the day of departure which excludes XL1419 from being a possible flight on cruise departure day.

Hyperbaric chamber fee:

Located in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz, a hyperbaric chamber has the most recent technology and trained professional medics to treat dive related illness. A $35 donation is collected from each passenger in advance of their cruise to keep the chamber staffed and operational in the event it is needed.  This donation does not cover a diver for treatment and is not replace the need for Dive Accident Insurance.

Gratuities to guides and crew:

We believe our crew members provide world class service and we hope you agree. It is common practice to tip dive boat crew. We recommend 10% of the charter rate as tip/gratuity.  An envelope will be provided at the end of the cruise, along with a Guest Comment Card. Envelopes and Cards are placed in a locked box in the lounge area. Tips are divided and distributed equally amongst the Captain, Dive Guides and crew.  Cash is preferred though gratuity can be placed on a credit card.  Please note that 2-4% is deducted from gratuities placed on credit cards for processing fees.  Our crew works very hard, we are sure you will agree!!  USD cash, Visa and MasterCard are accepted on board for payment.

CRUISE INTERRUPTION & CANCELLATION INSURANCE/ DIVE ACCIDENT INSURANCE:

DivEncounters, Inc. & Galapagos Sky will not provide refund or cruise credit in the event you miss your cruise for circumstances beyond our control that might require us not to fulfill your full cruise itinerary. We strongly recommend that all passengers traveling to Galapagos Sky invest in COMPREHENSIVE medical, accident, trip cancellation and trip interruption insurance at the time of your reservation. This investment will protect you and your financial commitment in the event of unforeseen travel delays/airline cancellations, personal or family illness or injury, etc. which may not allow for you to attend your scheduled cruise. We do require diving accident insurance such as coverage provided by Divers Alert Network or DiveAssure.

Special Privileges and Loyalty Offerings

Discounts do not apply to Group Bookings.

Discounts cannot be combined. When multiple discounts are applicable, the discount that is of greatest value to the guest will be applied.

Discounts must be requested at time of booking.

Discounts are not applicable to port charges, chamber fees, Park Fees, Tourist card taxes or Domestic Air fares unless otherwise stated.

Repeat Travel: 5% discount to the cabin rate available for guests taking a repeat trip on Galapagos Sky.

Senior Divers: $200 discount to the cabin rate is available to guests, who at the time of travel, have reached 62 years of age.

Dive Instructors: $200 discount to the cabin rate is available to active and current scuba instructors.

Military: $200 discount to the cabin rate is available to active or retired military.

Purchases on board: There is a boutique on board that sells a selection of logo hats and t-shirts, etc. Every guest has an open tab which is paid on the last day of the cruise. Please note we accept USD cash, MasterCard and Visa only. This includes any items purchased from our boutiques, drinks purchased at the bar, gratuities for the guides and crew, gear rentals and upgraded tank rentals.

FIT or individual passengers

Deposits: A deposit of $1000 USD per person for 7 Night or $1200 per person for a 10 Night departure is due within 10 days of booking and final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.  Application and Waiver is also due 60 days prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations received 90 days or more prior to departure are subject to a service charge of 50% of the deposit amount per person.

Cancellations received 89-60 days prior to departure forfeit the entire deposit.

Cancellations received 59 days prior to departure forfeit the entire cruise cost.

Dive Certification and Safety Waivers:

The Galapagos National Park regulations require that all guests must carry their Diving Certification Cards for verification of your training. Photo copies will NOT be accepted. Please bring your certification card for verification of your dive training and experience. You will be required to complete and sign a Waiver, Express Assumption Of Risk, Release Of Liability, And Indemnity Agreement form prior to boarding. Please remember that you alone are responsible for determining your medical and physical fitness to dive or to take part in any other activities during your cruise aboard the Galapagos Sky. ALL DIVING AND SHIPBOARD ACTIVITIES ARE CONDUCTED AT YOUR OWN RISK. We take no responsibility with respect to your determination.
